Description
The towering Whatcom Museum started life as the Bellingham City Hall. The old City Hall in Bellingham was built in 1892. This building has been the Whatcom Museum since 1941. The Old City Hall was the first Washington site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The City Hall was built on a bluff overlooking Bellingham Bay, behind the proud structure. The two story building on the right is the Museum's Syre Education Center. May, 2020.
