US 84 and Rio Chama Valley. Rio Chama flows down from the mountains in northwestern New Mexico, through valleys embraced by hills studded with pinon and juniper, and meets the Rio Grande north of Espanola. US 84 follows the river through valleys dressed with sagebrush and rabbit bush. Houses with red roofs and blue roofs dot the valley. September, 2018.
