Description
The Peace Arch commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Ghent, which formally ended the War of 1812, and established the US-Canada border. It was dedicated in 1921. Protestors used the Peace Arch Park that surrounds the Arch to express their opposition to the Muslim ban. It is possible to walk without ID from the US to Canada and back in the Park.
