Description
Native American peoples fished at Celilo Falls, near the present day city of The Dalles for centuries. When Celilo Falls was submerged by hydroelectric dams downriver, platforms were built at various locations along the Columbia to enable the vital salmon fishing. On these platforms at Cascade Locks, Oregon, native peoples rely on dip nets for fishing.
