Description
Dark clouds mark the border between wheat and sage in the Palouse, a region of rolling hills in southeastern Washington. Land that can be plowed is covered by mile after mile of wheat, golden in late August. Land that is steep, like highway embankments and narrow hollows, grows sage and bunch grass. This image is from the edge of State Route 221 between Prosser and Paterson. August, 2018.
