Description
The BNSF rail bridge across the Skagit River was sharply outlined by the afternoon sun. The bridge was built in 1906 as a swing bridge and was converted to a fixed position steel truss bridge in 1965. BNSF freight and Amtrak passenger trains cross the river from Burlington to Mt Vernon on the far shore. February, 2020.
