Description
The Skagit River flows south from British Columbia towards Washington. The river becomes Ross Lake north of the border. Ross Lake continues for 23 miles south, where it is impounded by Ross Dam. Ross Dam is a hydroelectric dam constructed by Seattle City Light, part of a hydroelectric project that provides power to Seattle and the Puget Sound region. The dam is 540 feet high and 1300 across. September, 2016.
