Description
Riverfront Park spreads along the banks of the Skagit River, beyond the tree line on the left in this image, at the south edge of Sedro-Woolley, Washington. A sturdy stage, a space for public gatherings, plays, weddings, and social events, is constructed of local cedar trees and river rocks. This is the location of Mortimer Cook's house in Bug, the town he founded and renamed Sedro. The park is a short distance upriver from State Route 9. A cloudy, hazy day in early September revealed a quiet place for contemplating the river.
