Description
Northern State Asylum began in 1912 as a hospital for the criminally insane, although most of the residents or patients could have functioned in ordinary society. The name was later changed to Northern State Hospital. The hospital was closed in 1973. This wing, and several other buildings on the campus at the northeast edge of Sedro-Woolley, was renovated and began use as a Job Corps Training Center dorm in 2019. The hospital and training center is a half mile north or SR 20, northeast of Sedro-Woolley. March, 2021.
