Description
Edison Slough reaches in from Samish Bay, loops around the small town of Edison, Washington, flows under the bridge that carries Bow Hill Road, then becomes a narrow finger pointing to the farmland of Skagit County. Because the slough connects with the sea, it is subject to the ebbs and flows of the tide, revealing mud flats when the tide is out. On a sunny, hazy day in late October, trees and pilings are reflected in the quiet water of the slough.
