The Port of Umatilla is a mile up the Columbia from McNary Dam, about two miles from the City of Umatilla. The Port of Umatilla was created in 1940, though it served as a center of commerce for indigenous traders for hundreds of years.. The Port, known as Oregon's Inland Port, was created as a distribution point for the interior Pacific Northwest. March, 2022.
