The Goodpasture Covered Bridge is about 27 miles east of Eugene, just off the McKenzie Highway. The Bridge crosses the McKenzie River as it flows down from the Oregon Cascades. Originally constructed in 1938, it was rebuilt and strengthened in 1987. It can now carry two cars at a time. Logging is important to the Oregon economy, but only one logging truck at a time can use the bridge. The bridge is named for Benjamin Franklin Goodpasture, an early local settler.
Welcome to my Vagabond Photography site. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, though I also wander other places in the western US and in southern British Columbia. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. Vagabond Photography means seeking interesting, fun, remarkable sights, being a will-o'-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
