Description
A colorful mural decorates the wall of the colorful Syre Education Center in downtown Bellingham. The mural fronts a spawning salmon and presents scenes of the indigenous Lummi and Nooksack settlements in this location on Bellingham Bay. The Syre Center was built as Bellingham's fire hall in 1926 next to the City Hall, left of image, now the Whatcom Museum. May, 2020.
