Description
The Bellingham and Skagit Interurban Railway, an electric railroad, traveled from Bellingham to a depot in Mt Vernon. The Interurban Railway ran from 1912 to 1930. Only a mile of track remains. This spur in Mt Vernon is the remnant of that historic railway, and is now part of a BNSF service yard operated by the Mt Vernon Terminal Railway under and near I-5. October, 2020.
