Artist's Description
Mt Shuksan Reflected. Mt Shuksan, at 9131 feet, is one of the most photographed peaks in the North Cascades. Reflections are often photographed in Picture Lake. This small, unnamed snow melt pond is at Artist Point on Mt Baker, and reflects just the snow-capped peak of Mt Shuksan in September. The path is a challenge when covered by a few inches of snow and ice. September, 2016.

Great Shot Tom! Is this particular spot hard to find or is it pretty obvious? Will be headed up their next month. Again, great capture
Tom Cochran replied:
Thanks, Bennett. Artist Point is at the very end of the Mt Baker Highway in northwestern Washington state. If you park at Artist Point parking lot, this location is 50 yards or so up the hill. August won't be a problem at all. The road will be several feet deep in snow by late November, early December. Good travels. Thanks again.
