Description
Mt Hood stands about 11,200 feet high, and is the highest point in Oregon. The peak is permanently snow-covered. This view is from between Bend and Mt Hood, in the high desert region of north central Oregon. The contrast between glaciers on Mt Hood and the juniper and sagebrush on the high desert is striking.
