The Merc Playhouse is a performing arts theater that offers music and live theater to the small town of Twisp on the eastern slopes of the the North Cascades near the head of the Methow Valley. The building, built in 1924, served as the Twisp Mercantile, a general store, for many years. After being vacant for years, it became a theater in 1999. Twisp is proud of its arts community.
