Blaine Pier was once a series of piers for fish canneries. Stumps of pilings, weathered by the tides of Semiahmoo Bay and the warming sun, remnants of the fish cannery piers, march in straight columns across the bay, towards the sea beyond. The glistening white Peace Arch, marking the Canada-US border, stands tall at the upper right.
