Artist's Description
Lower Baker Dam with Units 3 and 4 . Lower Baker Dam stands 285 feet high in Eden Canyon, a narrow gorge north of the town of Concrete, to impound the Baker River and form Lake Shannon. Unit 3, the original Baker River Project power plant is protected from slides of the steep canyon by a sloping roof on the right. Unit 4, completed in July, 2013, is a subterranean structure with blue roofs at the bottom of the image. March, 2023.
