Description
Forty life size runners, men, women, and children, including one man and one woman in wheel chairs, race past the corner of Spokane Falls Boulevard and Post Street in Spokane's Riverfront Park. The metal sculpture, titled The Joy of Running Together, created by David Govedare was inspired by the Iris Bloomsday Run, and the sculpture now inspires runners in Spokane and around the world year around. Each figure is modeled after a real person. The lead runner is modeled after Bloomsday founder Don Kardong.
