Artist's Description
Colony Creek flows across low tide mud flats, under the Chuckanut Road bridge, and into Samish Bay, beyond the bridge. Just before the creek empties into the Bay, it passes two lines of weathered, rotting pilings. The pilings once supported a railroad trestle that carried the electric Bellingham and Skagit Interurban Railway. The trestle came ashore at Blanchard, a few miles north of Edison. September, 2022.
