Description
The ropes or lines on a sailing vessel, such as these on the tall ship Hawaiian Chieftain, are called halyards, lines, or sheets, depending on their location or purpose. Here, the lines are tied off to belaying pins. The Chieftain was docked in Squalicum Harbor on Bellingham Bay.
