Description
Sacajawea was a young Lemhi Shoshone girl who served as a guide and interpreter for Lewis and Clark's Corps of Discovery. In this sculpture in Cascade Locks, Oregon, she points down the Columbia River as she stands next to Seaman, Captain Lewis' Newfoundland. Sacajawea steadies her baby on her back.
