Description
The Grand Coulee Dam is a massive structure on the mighty Columbia River that provides 6809 MW of hydroelectric power and irrigation for 671,000 acres in north central Washington. Grand Coulee is the third largest power station in the US. The dam forms Franklin Delano Roosevelt Lake, which covers 125 square miles and stretches 150 miles to the Canadian border. The spillway is dry at the end of July because the lake is low. July, 2019.
