The Georgia-Pacific pulp mill plant sits empty and abandoned on the Bellingham waterfront. The plant closed in 2001. The mill made toilet paper and other paper products. The land and buildings were bought by the city in 2005. Waypoint Park is now on the far side of the plant. Windows are missing or broken, doors are boarded and sealed, and the derelict red brick building is fenced. The white Bellingham Herald can be seen on a hill behind the plant. August, 2020.
Welcome to my Vagabond Photography site. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, though I also wander other places in the western US and in southern British Columbia. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. Vagabond Photography means seeking interesting, fun, remarkable sights, being a will-o'-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
