A barbed wire fence runs beside Canada 5A, southeast of Merritt, British Columbia. Beyond the weathered fence post, an aspen grove, leafless in the high hills in early October, spreads empty fingers to a gray sky, praying for rain or snow. Firs and pines and more aspen trees, still clad in gold, speckle the hills. October, 2019.
Welcome to my Vagabond Photography site. Much of my work is shot in Washington state, though I also wander other places in the western US and in southern British Columbia. I hope you enjoy the images of the places, things, and people that are displayed here. Vagabond Photography means seeking interesting, fun, remarkable sights, being a will-o'-the-wisp in search of the unusual, the beautiful, the engaging, and the truly awe inspiring. Perhaps you'd like to join me on my journeys. Welcome to my corner of the world! Welcome to Vagabond Photography, vagabonding (wandering) across the Pacific Northwest.
