Description
A wandering tree, long since polished by wind and wave, has found a resting place on the shingle beach at Ft Casey, Washington, four miles down State Route 20 from Coupeville. The driftwood resembles a dinosaur at rest. An abandoned pier stands on weathered pilings, cut off from the shore. Ft Casey is the last stop on the western shore of Whidbey Island before SR 20 skips across the shining water of Puget Sound to Port Townsend on the Port Townsend Ferry. March, 2019.
