Description
A landslide 500 years ago temporarily blocked the Columbia River. Soon, the River forged a new channel, around the slide. The remains of that landslide stretches across this image from just left of center to the right edge of the frame. View upriver from the Washington side on Tuesday, the day after the eclipse, with smoky skies caused by northern wildfires. August, 2017.
