Description
Standing tall under dark clouds, a chimney painted with stars and stripes overlooks the Nooksack River flowing through Ferndale. The long white building was once a factory that produced Carnation Condensed Milk flash heated by burners using the chimney. The building was built in 1918 for the Mt Vernon Condensery Company and later sold to Carnation Condenseries. The building is now occupied by a number of small businesses. March, 2023.
