Description

A small, old, dilapidated trailer sits in a lot overgrown by long grass and blackberry brambles near State Route 20 in the farm country west of Burlington. Blue tarps and a makeshift roof shelter the door from wind and rain. The lot is also home to two old refrigerators, several empty propane tanks, a beat-up, rusty old pickup, and other paraphernalia. A built-in awning permanently supported by temporary, make-do props protects the window from rain and sun. Clothes pins hang from a line stretched from a post supporting the tarp to the old barn on the right. A tumbledown, ad hoc place, it is still home for someone. September, 2018.
