Description
Rugged basalt cliffs are shades of tan, brown, and ochre in the fading winter afternoon sun. Sagebrush and wild field grass spread across a rolling bench south of Crescent Bar resort, between the Columbia River, beyond the left side of the image, and basalt palisades that were carved by successive floods across the Columbia Plateau.
