Description
Salmon swimming up the Baker River from the Skagit river a mile south are collected at the Baker River Fish Trap and transported by a fish taxi (a specially built truck) beyond the Lower and Upper Baker River Dams to spawning grounds in Baker Lake. Behind the trap is the Baker River Bridge, which was originally constructed in 1917. At that time, it was the longest concrete arch bridge in the country. August, 2022.
