Description
In 1920, two Armenian immigrants, Armen Tertsagian and Mark Balaban, started making a confection of apples and walnuts to sell their excess apple crop from their apple orchard in Cashmere. Aplets were sold initially from a roadside stand. A few years later, cotlets, made from apricots, were added to their line. The business expanded after the candies were sold at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair and Aplets and Cotlets are now sold world-wide. This is their headquarters in Cashmere. May, 2021.
