Description

On July 1, I drove up Pike Place, looking for parking. I learned a lesson: walk, don't drive, in front of Pike Place Market. People pushing strollers, people reading their phones, couples, families, bicyclists, and an occasional car fill the human river to overflowing. Average car speed - 2 to 4 miles per hour, parking reserved for the very worthy.
