Description
Carlton, Washington, population 396, is an unincorporated, rural community of farmers and ranchers 11 miles south of Twisp on State Route 153. Carlton has one church, called The Local Church. The church building is sheathed in corrugated steel and has no spire or other religious symbol. The church sign says TLC - The Local Church - come feel the love, and is roofed by more corrugated steel to protect from rain and snow.
