Description
The Spokane Tribal Gathering Place is a plaza of granite and concrete blocks, flowing fountains, rest, and contemplation. Resting between the Spokane City Hall and the Mobius Science Center, the Tribal Gathering Place was named in 2014 in a joint effort by the City Council and the Spokane Tribe. The Gathering Place serves as an entrance to Huntington Park, next to the Lower Falls. This was a place where native peoples gathered for centuries to catch and dry salmon. Bright sunshine in late July illuminated the Gathering Place.
