Description
A dirt road travels along the east side of Shannon Lake, northeast of Concrete, Washington, through tall firs and cedars. A traveler is barred from proceeding past this point by a locked barrier painted with graffiti in lovely colors. A sign above the post on the right side formerly read Keep Out. It has been spray painted red, and the Anarchy symbol, an A in a circle, has been scratched into the red paint. Who lives beyond this threatening gate, up this forbidden lane? April, 2018.
