Description
Winter and spring rain turn the gray clay soil to slick mud. In late March, wearing rain boots is a very good idea for visitors to the long rows of golden daffodils in fields west of Mt Vernon. A raincoat or umbrella would be a good addition to a visitor's gear under gray skies, as well.
