Description
A snowfield above Artist Point, the end of the Mt Baker Highway, is pocked by summer rain and warmer temperatures. The gray storm clouds above will produce more rain, but this snow field is probably 20 or 30 feet deep, or more, and some snow will last all year. The Artist Point parking lot is on the far right, where the snow depth can be compared to parked cars.
