Description
A break in gray clouds reveals a touch of robin's egg blue on the horizon behind an old adobe church two days after Thanksgiving, 2019. The thick mud walls, erected in 1744 a mile south of the small town of Abiquiu, New Mexico, melt slowly into the red dirt that made them. A white wooden cross, only a few years old and decorated with solar powered lights, stands in front of the open doorway of Santa Rosa de Lima church.
