Description

Massive boulders mark the shoreline of Lake Shannon as it narrows to meet Lower Baker Dam. The Dam is to the left of this image. Lake Shannon, just outside of the town of Concrete, is green from mineral runoff carried by streams and small rivers from high in the North Cascades. A necklace of orange barrels, each larger than a 50 gallon drum, drapes across the narrow throat of Lake Shannon to warn boaters to stay back from the dam. July , 2018.
