Kane Springs Picnic Area is 15 miles south of Moab, just over a ridge from Hole N" The Rock. Early on an August morning, a rising sun creeps above the pink and red sandstone rocks that surround the rest area. A crystalline sky darkens from a delicate, pale blue of first sunrise to a deep azure. August, 2018.
