Description
A weathered piling that reinforces the shore of the Swinomish Channel near Anacortes is home to tiny, delicate blackberry plants. Blackberry brambles grow wild in western Washington, and are often considered a nuisance. The seeds for these small, intrepid pathfinders probably were planted by the wind. December, 2018.
