Muslim Ban Protest - Wall Art

On January 27, 2017, President Trump signed E.O. 13769, which suspended entry into the US from seven predominantly Muslim countries for 90 days. It was immediately dubbed a Muslim ban. On January 29, hundreds of people protested that ban in Peace Arch Park which straddles the border between Blaine, Washington and Surrey, BC. The ban was suspended by a Federal court on February 3, and subsequently superseded by a travel ban that was also halted by the Federal Courts. It is possible to walk across the border while staying in the park. These images attest to the passionate, peaceful response to that ban. It was bitter cold that day on the border.
